Georgina Starr's Theda (2007 - 2010) is a cinematic fantasy about Theda Bara, the first sex symbol of the silent film era. In expressive metaphorical language, mixed with occult symbolism of the Bara-myth an eccentric picture of demonised eroticism somewhere between role playing and identity is created. Film, performance and singing of the soprano singer Sigune von Osten result in an unique congenial symbiosis!

Sigune von Osten belongs to the most significant singers of the 20th/21st century. She has worked with John Cage, Luigi Nono and Olivier Messiaen and is a frequent guest at the international festivals of New Music. Since 2000 Sigune von Osten has been working as a composer, singer, performer and music artist.
