The interdisciplinary working artist John Bock created with Im Schatten der Made (In the shadow of the maggot) a neo-expressionistic silent film, which on the one hand plays with stereotypes of the genre on the other hand introduces irritating contemporary elements. It's the story of an artificial human, who falls in love with a woman but doesn't seem to find a perspective for his human desires.
